Happy Birthday Baby

20 years ago today I was 7 years old.  I had lived for 7 years as the baby of the family and I had no idea what was about to come into my life.  

That day my little sister Chelsey was born.

At first I wasn't so sure about this whole "new baby" thing, but I seem to recall warming up to her pretty quick.

She was the my little side kick.  She always wanted to do whatever I wanted to do.  She enjoyed listening to me talk (all day long) or sing or watch Keely & I perform a show (there was a stellar bunny show once).

I got the privilege of watching her grow up and helping her become the person she is (not that I'm taking any credit for her incredible-ness).  I cheered her on at a ton of her soccer games, and watched her go from this:

Now I am blown away and SO PROUD to see her playing on the UW Club Soccer team! 

I am completely mind boggled by the fact that she is 20 years old!  When I look at her she is still 5 years old running around like this.

She has grown into a wonderful person with a huge heart.  She is sweet, strong, smart and stylish.  I am so proud to be her sister and love her for everything she is.  I envy her easy going attitude and the way she dances.  I know it's not my birthday anymore but please Chelsey, will you teach me how to Dougie???
